TEACH A CLASS
WHO?
Join us! With community-sourced education anyone with knowledge and interest can teach. You can be a tenured professor or hobbyist or even teach with a partner. With many different personalities and teaching styles, every class will be one of a kind! We invite everyone to experience the creativity and leadership of being a teacher.
WHY?
Talk about things you like. Be part of a vibrant community. Bring visibility to your business or organization. Reach a an audience not typically involved in your field. Informal, short-format classes allow for unique topics. For fun. Take a break from binge watching your show (though that's fun too). Empower people to keep learning.
WHERE?
We are located at 745 New Hampshire in Downtown Lawrence. Our classroom is inside of the People's Bank/Sandbar Subs which sits between 15-20 and is equipped with Audio/Visual capabilities. Since a goal of The Lawrence Laboratory is to 'mix it up' and get to know other places in the community we have a few other options as well. We have partners who can host depending on your needs, for example, a bar/restaurant or a local cultural organization. Or you can use your own site to host a class. We will work out the details.
WHAT TO TEACH?
Classes are encouraged to be interactive with either a hands-on project, demonstration or a discussion-based lesson.
We can host pretty much any subject you can dream up as long as it interests you!
It can be highbrow to tabloid; nerdy to hip; broad to specific;quirky to conventional; hobby to professional.
